Expereince Yoga Nidra....

Have you ever considered spending an entire yoga class in Savasana (corpse pose)?

Yoga Nidra is rapidly gaining popularity around the world. Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice intended to induce total-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness (You’re asleep, but awake? One hour of practices is equated to 4 hours of restful sleep. For new parents, students, insomniacs and many more this is Goddesssend.

And unlike the time spent in Savasana at the end of a typical class, Yoga Nidra allows enough time for practitioners to physiologically and psychologically sink into it.

The ancient yoga text the Mandukya Upanishads refers to four different stages of Yoga Nidra. Using guided visualizations and deep relaxation techniques, the student begins by quieting the active conscious mind, then moves into a meditative state, gradually finding a state of "ultimate harmony," in which the brain waves slow and oneness emerges.

Yoga nidra releases negative emotions and thought patterns calms the nervous system, develops a deep capacity to meet any and all circumstances you may encounter in life

A study in 2006 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. found Yoga Nidra effectively reduces:
PTSD
Depression
Anxiety
Insomnia
Chronic pain
Chemical dependency
